The petitioner is stated to have constructed a Crematorium on the basis of the
work order approved by the Palli Sabha for an amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- in Village Ratamati un
der Achyutapur Patna Grama Panchayat in the district of Khurda. The petitioner is stated to ha
ve not received any amount, though the work has been completed since long.
In this regard, the petitioner is stated to have approached the B.D.O., Tangi
and Sarpanch, Achyutapur Patna Grama Panchayat, but in vain.
Taking into consideration the limited grievance of the petitioner and without
going into the merit of the case, the petitioner is directed to file a detailed representation
before the Collector, Khurda (Opp. Party No.2) within 15 days from today. If such a represent
ation is filed, the same shall be disposed of on merit within four weeks from the date of its
filing.
It is made clear that, if the petitioner is found to have constructed the Crem
atorium in question, the amount due to him, be paid without any further hassles, of course, if
there is no legal impediment.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
