1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned counsel for the State.
2. The applicant who is in custody since 01.11.2018 has approached this Court for grant of regular bail in connection with Sakchi P.S. Case No.215 of 2018 (S.T. Case No.236 of 2019), registered for the offence under Sections 376(ii)N, 307, 323, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. A report has been called from the concerned court and it appears that all nine witnesses have already been examined.
4. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the applicant that evidence has been closed on 09.03.2021 but till date the argument has not been completed.
5. Counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail.
6. In above view of the matter, I am not inclined to consider the prayer for bail, at this stage. Accordingly, the present bail application is, hereby, rejected.
7. However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within the period of three weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
8. Office is directed to communicate the order through ‘FAX’.
9. Further, the court below is directed to submit a report before this Court regarding the conclusion of the trial.
