The applicant, who is in custody since 27.08.2021, has approached this Court for grant of regular bail in connection with Lalpur P.S. Case No.279 of 2015 (s) (G.R. No.6842 of 2015) registered for the offence under Sections 341, 387, 307 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Innocence has been claimed and it has been submitted that there is no materials save and except confessional statement of the co-accused. It has been further submitted that similarly situated co-accused has already been enlarged on bail. On the above facts, prayer for release has been made.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and it has been submitted that twenty four criminal antecedents have been reported against the applicant.

¶14

Considering the criminal antecedents against the applicant, I am not inclined to enlarge the applicant on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the applicant stands rejected.
