THE APPELLATE TRIBUNAL :
Objection against the waiver application filed by Respondent; taken on record.
In spite of specific order that the competent officer of the Bank should appear in person for settling the matter Mr. Prasun Mitra, Chief Manager Recovery, Mr. Manish Kumar, Law Officer and Mr. Manoj Kumar, Branch Manager are present and submits that they are not competent to settle the matter. Mr. Prasun Mitra, Chief Manager Recovery, further submits that only the Committee can decide the terms and conditions. Despite specific order, no positive steps have been taken by the Bank.
Let the concerned officer of the UCO Bank, not below the rank of Deputy General Manager, appear before this

Court on the 7th of July, 2023; in case of non compliance appropriate steps would be taken.
Learned Counsel for Respondent submits that as per the Committee decision matter could be settled at Rs.12.20 lac which is the amount due, inclusive of interest, as per the ledger; which shows that the Bank is not making any effort to settle the matter rather adamant for an amount, as recorded in the ledger.
