This Petition is filed with the
following prayers :-
“A) Kindly be directed to the
Respondent authority to include the
names of 3,87,120 students in Pre-
matric Scholarship (PMS) renewal
list for the year 2015-16 and
release the Pre-matric Scholarship
for the year 2015-16 and to deposit
the same in their accounts.
B) Kindly be directed to the
Respondent authorities to upload the
Application ID of 3,87,120 students
for the year 2015-16 for submission
of application for next academic
year i.e. 2016-17 for the scheme of
Pre-Matric Scholarship.

C) Kindly be directed to Respondent Authority that the fresh list and renewal for the year 201516 be uploaded on the website for the information of the students and include the names of those schools whose names have not been included in the scholarship list.
D)Kindly be directed to the
Respondent authority to initiate the
departmental inquiry against the
guilty persons for negligence while
discharging their duty towards the
implementationofPre-matric
Scholarship Scheme of 3,87,120
students.”
2.Pursuant to the notices issued to the
Respondents, Respondent Nos.2, 3, 4, 6
and 7 have filed affidavit in reply. In
the affidavit in reply the aforementioned
Respondents in paragraph nos.17 and 18
stated thus :-
“17. I say & submit that 7,80,066
forms were uploaded on NSP in the
year 2015-16 out of which 2,17,593
forms were rejected due to
incorrect information. Uploading
of 3,77,822 forms was successful
because data provided by these
students and concerning schools
was accurate.
18.I say and submit that 3,87,120
students who are not included in
PMS renewal list 2015-16 list due
to either providing incorrect or
sufficient data.”

3. The learned counsel appearing for
the petitioners submits that, it is true
that, after issuing notices by this
Court, the concerned Respondents have
taken steps for including the names of
students entitling them for scholarship,
however, the names of some of the
students have not been included. In our
opinion, if the students whose names are
not included, they may avail of the
appropriate remedy as available to them
in law or take corrective steps in view
of the statements made in para 17 of the
of the reply.
4.With the above observations, Public
Interest Litigation stands disposed of.
