Section 19. Adhyaksha and x x x

1[19. (1) In every Zila Panchayat an Adhyaksha and a 2[x x x[ shall be elected by the elected members of the Zila Panchayat from amongst themselves.

(2) The election to the office of Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha may be held notwithstanding any vacancy in the office of the elected members of the Zila Panchayat.
