This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuing direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali to take over the investigation of the case FIR No.187 dated 19.12.2009 under Section 306 IPC, registered at Police Station Dera Bassi, District Mohali from SHO Dera Bassi and entrust to some independent agency.
Counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Nand Lal informed the Court that the challan has been presented on 07.1.2011. After submission of the challan, case was committed to the Court of Sessions on 05.2.2011. Thereafter, the charge has been framed on 15.2.2011 under Section 306 IPC. The petitioner has sought directions from this Court to expedite the investigation in FIR No.187 dated 19.12.2009 or in the alternate entrust the investigation to some independent agency.
In view of the statement made by counsel for the State, no further orders are required to be passed in this criminal miscellaneous petition.
The criminal miscellaneous petition is disposed of.
