Pradeep Singh Vs the State of Jharkhand

The petitioner is an accused in connection with Manika P.S. Case No. 7 of 2009 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 44 of 2009(S), arising out of S.T. Case No.138 of 2017 later on amalgamated in S.T. Case No. 44A of 2012.

It appears from the allegation that on account of land mines blast several policemen had died. When reinforcement arrived they were also shot.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that several co-accused persons, whose case stands on the similar footing, have already been granted bail by Coordinate Bench and some of the accused persons have been acquitted. The petitioner is in custody since 07.05.2017.

Regard being had to the facts of the case and that similarly situated co-accused have already been granted bail, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/(Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 1^st Additional Sessions Judge, Latehar, in connection with Manika P.S. Case No. 7 of 2009 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 44 of 2009(S), arising out of S.T. Case No. 138 of 2017 later on amalgamated in S.T. Case No. 44A of 2012.
