Heard Mr. Binod Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned APP appearing for the State and Mr. Vishal Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing for the opposite party No. 2.
Petitioner is an accused in connection with Sonahatu P.S. Case No. 54 of 2017 (G.R. No. 6713 of 2017), pending before the Court of learned Vishal Gaurav, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi.
It has been alleged that for the last one year there has been a demand of Rs. 5 Lakhs from the informant and she was often subjected to assault due to nonfulfillment of demand. It has further been alleged that the petitioner has illicit relationship with another girl. The petitioner appears to be the husband of the informant.
This Court vide order dated 18.02.2019 has granted provisional bail to the petitioner in order to expedite the possibility of settlement. The report of the Mediator, JHALSA has been received from which it appears that the mediation has failed.
