Heard Mr. P.S. Dayal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned APP appearing for the State and Mr. Shashank Shekhar, learned counsel appearing for the opposite party No. 2.
Petitioner is an accused in connection with Complaint Case No. 560 of 2016.
The allegation against the petitioner is of torture against the complainant who is the wife of the petitioner.
This Court vide order dated 07.05.2019 has granted provisional bail to the petitioner with a direction to the parties to remain physically present in order to expedite the possibility of settlement.
Today, it has been stated that the matter has been settled between the petitioner and the complainant.
In view of the aforesaid fact, therefore, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 07.05.2019 is hereby confirmed.
