Learned A.P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.
The petitioner is an accused for the offence under sections 272, 273, 467, 468, 120B IPC r/w Sections 47(A)(b)(c ), (d), (e), 48, 58 and 66 of the Excise Act.
It is alleged that the from the house of one late Aditya Das, huge quantity of liquor was seized.
Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is merely a labourer and has got nothing to do with the seized liquor. He further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 12.9.2017.
Keeping in view of the period of custody of the petitioner, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Jagbandhu Das @ Joga Das is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Ghatshila in connection with Ghatshila P.S. Case No. 84/2017, corresponding to G.R. No. 411/2017.
