2/06.04.2018 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State, who opposes the prayer for bail.

The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 414/34 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 11 (D) (E) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Section 12 of Jharkhand Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter) Act, 2005.

It is alleged that some persons were smuggling some bovine animals. This petitioner surrendered as his name transpired on the confessional statement of the co-accused. The allegation against this petitioner is that he is involved in smuggling of bovine animals.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this petitioner is in custody since 15.02.2018.

Taking into consideration the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, petitioner namely, Salman Khan is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Gumla in connection with Sisai P.S. Case No. 26 of 2017 [G.R. No. 275/2017].
