The only dispute which survives in this petition is as to whether the petitioner is entitled to be promoted to the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since this benefit has been extended to other serving officers, as pleaded in para-11 of the counter affidavit, the petitioner is also entitled to the same treatment. This is not a matter for contempt adjudication. It will be open to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings permissible in law to seek his redress. Petition is disposed of. Notice discharged.
