1. The limited relief that the petitioner seeks for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the application which the petitioner has filed seeking for settlement of land in Urban area.
2. According to the petitioner, he has moved an application on 17.09.2019 and a reminder has also been filed on 08.07.2020. However, though almost three years has lapsed, till date no decision has been taken.
3. The State Counsel submits that an appropriate decision shall be taken after due verification and scrutiny of the entitlement of the petitioner at the earliest.

Given the submission made by the counsel for the respondent/State, the present writ petition as of now is disposed of directing the respondent no. 2 to take up the application of the petitioner and to take an appropriate decision in accordance with law after due verification and scrutiny of his claim and entitlement.
5. Let an appropriate decision be taken within an outer limit of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid observation, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
