The instant Public Interest Litigation was basically filed for a direction to the respondentsauthorities to conduct an enquiry into the affairs of the Deaf & Dumb School, Shankar Nagar, Nagpur.

The P.I.L. was basically entertained since it was the grievance of the petitioner that the meals supplied to the inmates of the school was not of standard quality.

In view of various orders passed in the present petition, surprise visits were made to the said School even by the authorities of the Social Welfare Department. In the surprise visits, it has been noticed that contention that the food is not as per the standard was not found to be correct.

In that view of the matter, we find that no further interference is warranted in the present P.I.L. The learned amicus curiae has filed a Pursis in which she has given certain suggestions for improvement of standards of Deaf and Dumb Schools in the State of Maharashtra. We request the learned Addl. Government Pleader to bring those suggestions to the notice of the State Government so that the State Government can take into consideration the said suggestions and consider formulating a comprehensive policy in the larger interests of the students taking education in the Deaf and Dumb Schools.

The P.I.L. is, therefore, disposed of with the aforesaid observations.
