1. The petitioner seeks a mandamus against the
respondents to implement notification bearing No.THA/PC/
381/TRAFFIC/94, dated 27th October, 1994 issued by the
Additional Police Commissioner, Thane. This
notification is with respect to Traffic Control in
notified areas. The petitioner also seeks a direction
against the police to take such measures as are
necessary to ensure that no tempos/lorries are parked in
the notified area of the Central Hospital, Red Cross
Area and the adjoining area in Camp No.3.

2. A fresh notification has been issued by the
Commissioner of Police, Thane, on 1.11.2007 regulating
the traffic in these areas, demarcating the "no parking
zones". The notification indicates that there would be
no parking of vehicles on the Western side of the road
opposite Central Hospital running from Red Cross
Hospital to Central Market, Ulhasnagar-3. The road from
the New Era High School Chowk to Seva Sadan College has
been declared a "no parking zone".
3. In view of this position, we find that the grievance
of the petitioner has been redressed and nothing
survives in the petition.
4. Petition disposed of accordingly.
