1. This is an application for grant of bail. The
applicant is shown as an accused in C.R.No. I-128/2005
registered by Igatpuri Police Station for an offence
punishable under Section-498-A, 306, 304B, 323, 504 read
with 34 of the I.P.C. The F.I.R. indicates that the
present applicant who was already married to another
woman entered into the marriage with deceased Bhakti who
was a young girl of aged 20 years without disclosing the
fact of his first marriage with another woman.
Thereafter, he and his mother started harassing her for
the purpose of balance dowry. The F.I.R. discloses
that Bhakti used to be beaten from time to time and
therefore, Bhakti committed suicide and just before that
she had disclosed about the ill-treatment and demand of
dowry to the complainant. The offence under Section
304B is serious offence punishable with life. Not a fit
case for grant of bail. Hence, application is rejected.
