Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

The petitioner has preferred this petition inter alia with the following prayer:-

"I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent no. 2 to pass appropriate order after giving opportunity of hearing and pass reasoned and speaking order on the application/reply dated 27.12.2022 regarding the election proceedings dated 28.10.2022 submitted by District Inspector of Schools, District Moradabad regarding the petitioner Committee of Management Vidya Niketan Inter College Sirsawan Harchand, District Moradabad and pending before Regional Level Committee till date."

It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioners that the present matter relates to the election of the committee, which is pending before the Regional Level Committee since 28.10.2022. Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon a letter dated 25.11.2022 written by the Joint Director of Education 12th Region Moradabad to the parties, by which they were directed to appear in the Office of Regional Level Committee for hearing on 14.12.2022. It is argued that necessary papers/documents were duly provided by the petitioners on 27.12.2022 but till date no decision has been taken in the matter.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and a suitable direction be issued to respondent authority to pass appropriate orders.

Considering the facts of the present case, without entering into the merit of the case and with the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2- Regional Level Committee, Moradabad (Joint Director of Education, 12th Region, Moradabad) to consider and decide the application/reply of the petitioner dated 27.12.2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
