Section 17. Removal of member for misconduct

The State Government may on the recommendation of the Market Committee supported by not less than 1[ten members] present and voting at a meeting remove any member if he has been guilty of neglect or misconduct in the discharge of his duties or of any disgraceful conduct, or has become incapable of performing his duties as a member or is adjudged an insolvent:

Provided that, no such member shall be removed from office unless he has been given reasonable opportunity of being heard by the State Government.
