This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to assign agricultural land as per G.O.Ms.No.185, dated 11.03.1997, in Jakranpally Mandal, Nizamabad District, or any nearby Mandal.

The petitioner, who is the widow of a freedom fighter, has earlier filed W.P.No.16915 of 2011. The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court by order, dated 10.04.2012, with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 29.11.2010 for assignment of suitable agricultural land for irrigation. On the allegation that the said order was not implemented, the petitioner filed Contempt Case No.1232 of 2012. In the said contempt case, the District Collector, Nizamabad, has filed a counter affidavit, wherein it is inter alia stated that after conducting field inspection and having found that no Government land is available within the jurisdiction of Tahsildar, Nizamabad, the Collector has directed the Sub-Collector, Bodhan, to identify suitable Government land, which is fit for cultivation, in Jukkal and Madnoor Mandals of Bodhan Division of Nizamabad District and that after identifying the land, necessary orders will be issued for the purpose of assignment in favour of the petitioner. Placing on record the said statement, this Court has disposed of the contempt case.

At the hearing, Mr. V.Mallik, learned counsel for the petitioner, having failed to convince this Court that non-assignment of land

around Nizamabad and Armoor is improper, however made an alternative submission that the respondents may be at least directed to comply with the undertaking given by respondent No.1 in his counter affidavit filed in C.C.No.1232 of 2012 by identifying and assigning the suitable land in Jukkal and Madnoor Mandals of Bodhan Division.

As I find this request reasonable and in consonance with the undertaking given by respondent No.1, the respondents are directed to identify the suitable land in either of the two above-mentioned Mandals and assign the same to the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.

Subject to the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

As a sequel, WPMP.Nos.2232 and 30461 of 2013 are disposed of as infructuous.
