This writ petition is filed under the Public Interest jurisdiction praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents 2 to 6 inspite of the representations of the petitioner in not preserving the historical monument of Kavala Mandiralu (twin temples of identical construction)/ Kota Gollu (Fort temples) situated at Katakshapur village, Warangal District in collusion with the respondent No.1 as illegal, arbitrary, malafide and unconstitutional and violative of fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution vide Articles 14, 16 and 21 besides violation of A.P.Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 and consequently to direct the respondents 2 to 6 to take positive steps for the protection of the monument.

Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties.

It appears from the counter affidavit filed by the 2^nd respondent- Director, Directorate of Archeology and Museums, Hyderabad that M/s.Sai Venkateswara Stone Crushers, Katakshapur has removed its stone crushing machinery on 28-04-2012 in response to the notice issued by the Assistant Director (Technical), Archaeology and Museums, Warangal dated 24.04.2012. Further, it has been stated that necessary steps are being taken by the authorities to restore the temples in question.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is not necessary for the court to pass any order excepting that the 2^nd

respondent shall take steps in the matter to restore the temples in question. Accordingly, this writ petition filed under Public Interest jurisdiction is disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to take steps to restore the temples in question as early as possible.
