The petitioner is aggrieved that the amount sanctioned for medical reimbursement of expenses for a husband is not issued yet. In view of the fact that a husband, for whom reimbursement was sought, was a retired Principal. The counsel appearing for the petitioner points out that the only exception to a spouse being ineligible to claim refund would be when such a spouse was an income tax assessee. Although the petitioner was himself a retired Principal. He was not an income tax assessee and therefore must be taken as a dependent spouse, for whose medical expenses

government employees are entitled to reimbursement.

The amount already sanctioned is directed to be paid to the petitioner at the interest of 7.5% from the time when the claim was made till the date of payment. The payment shall be issued within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
