Petitioner has approached this court with a grievance that despite her being now entitled to the grant of dual pension as per the letter dated 17.1.2013 (Annexure P-5) issued by the Central Government, which entitles the petitioner to claim civil as well as defence family pension, the said benefit has not been granted to her till date by respondent Nos.2 to 4 despite having submitted a detailed representation dated 18.3.2013 (Annexure P-9).

Counsel contends that the petitioner, at this stage, would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent Nos.2 to 4-The Accountant General (A&E), Punjab, The District Treasury Officer, Sangrur and S.M.O. Civil Hospital, Barnala to consider and decide the representation dated 18.3.2013 (Annexure P-9) filed by the petitioner, within some specified time.

In view of the statement made by the counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merit of the case or commenting thereon, the present writ petition is disposed of with directions to respondent Nos.2 to 4-The Accountant General (A&E), Punjab, The District Treasury Officer, Sangrur and S.M.O. Civil Hospital, Barnala to consider and decide the representation dated 18.3.2013 (Annexure P-9) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

In case the claim of the petitioner is accepted, the consequential benefits, if any, be released to her, in accordance with law, within a further period of one month.

In case the claim of the petitioner is not to be accepted, then a well reasoned and speaking order be passed and conveyed to the petitioner forthwith.
