The petitioner seeks a direction for re-imbursement of the medical bills submitted by him in relation to his own treatment and treatment of his wife, namely, Smt.Sudesh Kumari Gupta.

Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, it is stated by respondent No.3 that the medical bills submitted by the petitioner have been sent to the Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar for verification. It is also stated that the medical bills amounting to more than Rs.25,000/- are to be sent to the Director, Health Services, Punjab, for verification as per the Government Instructions.

In this view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar that in case the medical

bills are required to be sent to the Director, Health Services, Punjab, let the needful be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. The Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar as well as the Director Health Services, Punjab, are directed to verify the claim submitted by the petitioner within a period of one months from the date of receiving the same from the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. It is further directed that upon verification, the due payment be released as per the Government policies within a period of one month thereafter.
