Petitioner saw mill(s) have approached this Court for a direction to the Divisional Forest Officer, Begusarai, respondent no.5 to consider their request to permit them to operate

the saw mills in the light of the recommendations of the Central Empowered Committee dated 11.06.2008 as till date the seniority list of the saw mills situate within the district of Samastipur has not been finalized and in the light of the fact that seniority list has not been finalized the saw mills having valid licence be permitted to operate.

Without expressing any opinion on the aforesaid submission petitioners are directed to appear before respondent no.5 and to request him to permit operation of saw mills in the light of the recommendation dated 11.06.2008 as also the subsequent orders of the Supreme Court, which request the respondent no.5 shall consider and dispose of by passing a speaking order as early as possible within the reasonable time not exceeding one month from the date of receipt of the request along with certified copy of this order.

The writ application is, accordingly, disposed of.
