1. 23.02.2021 Heard Mr. Das, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Patnaik, learned Addl. Standing Counsel.

According to Mr. Das, the petitioners are aggrieved by inaction of the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bhadrak Circle, Bhadrak (opposite party no.5) in making Erein Service Co-operative Society functional though he has been made in charge of the said Society. He further submits that though highlighting all their grievances, the petitioners have approached the opposite party no.5 on 31.8.2020 under Annexure-3, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.5 to take a decision on such representation within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bhadrak Circle, Bhadrak (opposite party no.5) to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-3 within a period of four weeks from the date receipt of copy of this order in accordance with law and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
