The petitioner in this writ petition has prayed for a direction to opposite party no.2 to fix
his scale of pay in Reader (State scale) of pay in view of the Odisha Non-Government Aided Col
lege Lecturers Placement Rules, 2014 and release the differential arrear salary from 1.6.2010
till date within a stipulated time.
Heard Mr.Ray, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Senapatai, learned Add
itional Government Advocate.
Mr.Ray, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has fil
ed a representation, vide Annexure-4, before the Director, Higher Education, Odisha, Bhubanesw
ar-opposite party no.2 in this regard. He further submits that a direction may be issued to th
e said authority to dispose of the representation of the petitioner at an early date. It is fu
rther submitted by Mr.Ray, learned counsel for the petitioner that the persons similarly circu
mstanced have availed the benefit and the same benefit may be extended to the petitioner.
Considering the innocuous prayer, this Court directs opposite party no.2 to di
spose of the representation of the petitioner, vide Annexure-4, dated 4.1.2016 within a period
of six months from today in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of.
