 Heard Mr. D.R.Behera, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.K.K.Mishra, learned A
dditional Government Advocate for the State-Opp. parties.
 This writ petition has been filed challenging the illegal action of the Opp. party No.2 in
 not registering the Settlement Appeal at the instance of the petitioner.
 Considering the rival contentions of the learned counsel appearing for the parties and
 looking to the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that final pub
lication of the R.O.R has not yet made in the locality, this Court disposes of this Writ peti
tion directing the Settlement Officer, Major Settlement, Cuttack to accept the memorandum of S
ettlement Appeal at the instance of the petitioner appearing at Annexure-2 upon its presentati
on within a period of seven days hence along with the certified copy of this order, in the eve
nt no final publication of R.O.R has been made in the locality as on date and the appeal shal
l be proceeded in accordance with law.
 Accordingly, the Writ petition stands disposed with the observation and direction made he
reinabove.
