20.1.2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Government Advocate
for the State.

2. Petitioner is apprehending arrest for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 498-
A/302/304-B/34 of the I.P.C. and Section 4 of the D.P. Act in G.R. Case No.396/2015 of the co
urt of learned J.M.F.C., Angul arising out of Rajkanika P.S. Case No.204/2015. The marriage of
 the deceased has been solemnized on 10.6.2013. From the statement of the parents of the dec
eased, it is apparent that the deceased was being tortured for an additional demand of dowry
 and ultimately on 27.10.2015 she died because of asphyxia. This Court is of the opinion th
at prima facie case is well made out against the present petitioner.
3. Keeping in view the gravity of the offences, greater and larger interest of the State and
society, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present petitioner.
 Accordingly, the ABLAPL is rejected.
