The petitioner files this application seeking for a direction to the opposite parties
to pay him the ex-gratia assistance as per the declaration of the Central Government as well a
s State Government keeping in view the letter dated 24.09.2004 of the Office of the Honble Pri
me Minister for the death of his sister Jhuna Pradhan in the impact of Super Cyclone, 1999.
In course of hearing learned counsel for the petitioner submits that highlightin
g the grievance the petitioner has made representation before the opposite party no.2 vide Ann
exure-6 and direction may be given to consider the same within a stipulated time.
In view of the aforesaid limited grievance of the petitioner without expressing
any opinion on the merits of the case this Court disposes of the writ petition directing oppos
ite party no.2 to consider and dispose of the representation in Annexure-6 and pass appropriat
e order within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.
Requisites for communication of this order to opposite party no.2 shall be filed withi
n a week.
