This writ petition is filed for the following relief:

“To direct respondents to dispose of appeal dated 30.12.2025 preferred against the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in R.No. 10129901/ PHC3/A4 /2025 dated 04.10.2025 within the prescribed time.”

The petitioner joined the Government service as a Medical Officer through the Medical Recruitment Board on 05.03.2014. The petitioner had initially served at Manampathy Primary Health Centre. Thereafter, in the year 2018, he was transferred to ESI Dispensary, Korattur, Chennai.

While so, the petitioner was transferred to Kondithope ESI Dispensary. The petitioner would submit that due to his medical condition he was unable to comply with the transfer order and continued to remain under treatment. Subsequently, disciplinary proceeding were initiated against him alleging unauthorised leave from duty. A charge memo dated 31.07.2024 was issued by the Director of Medical and Rural Health

Services (ESI) to which the petitioner submitted an explanation along with medical records.

Thereafter, by proceedings dated 04.10.2025, the petitioner was removed from service. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the appellate authority on 30.12.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date the said appeal has not been disposed of. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact

that the petitioner’s appeal dated 30.12.2025 has not been disposed of to date, a direction is issued to respondents to dispose of the petitioner’s appeal, within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
