J U D G M E N T

The petitioners complain that all public transport vehicles passing through Kurupunthura, stop at the Kurupunthara Junction right on the High Way, without entering the KSRTC bus stand. By the act of the buses stopping at the Kuruppunthara Junction, the smooth flow of the traffic is disrupted causing frequent traffic blocks on the High Way. The acts also cause serious prejudice to the passenger public, who find it very difficult to board the buses, in view of the uncertainity regarding the places at which buses are likely to stop. The petitioners therefore seek the issue of appropriate directions to the authorities to ensure that all the buses enter the Kurupunthura bus stand.

respondent. According to the 3^rd respondent, all necessary steps have been initiated to ensure that buses do not skip the Kuruppunthara bus stand, as complained. Police authorities are alerted of the situation and are given instructions to ensure that all buses enter the Kurupunthara bus stand. Home Guards have also been deputed for traffic duty to ensure compliance with the above directions. The Motor Vehicle Inspector has also given strict directions to the Bus Operators Association to see that the directions are not violated. Ext.R3(a), report of the Motor Vehicle Inspector, is also produced in support of the above submission. In view of the fact that all necessary steps have been initiated to ensure compliance with the directions of Regional Transport Authority, it is submitted that no further directions are necessary to be issued in this writ petition.
