JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a trade union of workers of the third respondent. As per Exts. P2 and P3, petitioner has raised a dispute regarding the service conditions of its members before the second respondent. According to the counsel for the petitioner, the second respondent is duty bound to proceed with Exts.P2 and P3 under Section 12 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, and to initiate further proceedings. Though almost six months have elapsed after the submission of Exts.P2 and P3, it is complained that no action has been taken in the matter so far.

I have heard the learned Govt. Pleader as well as counsel for the third respondent. In view of the limited relief sought, this writ petition can be disposed of directing the second respondent to take necessary action on Exts.P2 and P3.

This writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the second respondent to take appropriate action on Exts.P2 and P3 as enjoined by Section 12 of the Industrial Disputes Act and complete the proceedings, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a
