The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of direction upon the concerned respondents to refund the amount of Rs.6,11,000/- with interest, which was deposited by the petitioner in terms with the settlement of Rani Dewa (Nav Ghat) made by the respondent no.5 in his favour for one year i.e. for the period from 2nd July, 2020 to 1st July, 2021, as he was not permitted by the local administration to use ferry for carrying passengers even for a single day during the said period due to outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic..
In course of argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already represented before the respondent nos.2 and 5 on 5th July, 2021 (Annexure-4 to the writ petition) raising the aforesaid grievance, however, no decision has been taken on the same so far, which has compelled him to file the present writ petition.
Mr. Krishna Murari, learned counsel for the respondent nos.4 and 5, submits that if the petitioner prefers a fresh representation on the present issue before the respondent no.5, an appropriate decision will be taken by the said respondent within a time frame.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the nature of the prayer made in the writ petition, without entering into merit of the case, the petitioner is given liberty to file a

fresh representation on the present issue before the respondent no.5. On receipt of the said representation, the said respondent after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner shall take an appropriate informed decision within one month from the date of filing of the same.
The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid liberty and direction.
