The petitioner is an accused in connection with Bokaro Steel City P.S. Case No. 138 of 2019 corresponding to G. R. No. 476 of 2019.
It has been alleged that the husband of the informant was kidnapped by the petitioner and others and Rs. 52 lacs was demanded as ransom. Specific allegation has been levelled against the petitioner and one Vivekanand Yadav of being involved in the offence and so far as the bail application of Vivekanand Yadav is concerned, the same has already been rejected in B. A. No. 8584 of 2019.
Regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to allow this application and the same is hereby rejected.
It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner at this juncture that the trial is in progress.
In such view of the matter, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
If the trial is not concluded within the period aforesaid, the petitioner shall be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
