The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for direction upon the respondents to provide the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000/- which he was getting and that has been reduced to the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000/-.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide letter dated 5.7.1995 the respondent-university fixed the pay scale of the petitioner at Rs. 1500-2750/- corresponding to 5000/- to 9000/-.Vide order dated 4.6.2010 as contained in annexure-12 to the writ petition the pay scale of the petitioner has been fixed at Rs. 4000-6000/-. On being aggrieved with the order, the petitioner has filed this writ application before this Court. Mr. Rajesh Kumar, further submits that in view of the annexure-12 the petitioner filed objection before the concerned authorities and they have not taken any decision on the objection filed by the petitioner

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide resolution bearing No. 396 dated 25.4.2006 the State Government in Department of H.R.D has revised the pay of college clerks in the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000/- treating their pay in the scale of Rs. 1200-1800/- instead of Rs. 975-1540/- in the 4^th pay revision.So the petitioner is entitled for the pay scale

of Rs. 4000-6000/- which has been granted to him by the State Government.

Be that as it may, objection of the petitioner is still pending with the concerned authority and the petitioner has not been provided reason as to why pay scale has been reduced from 5500-9000/- to 4000-6000/- and the petitioner has got right to obtain reason and as such the concerned authority is directed to take decision on the objection filed by the petitioner and the same will be communicated to the petitioner with cogent reason.

It is expected that concerned authority shall complete this exercise within eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation this writ petition stands disposed of.
