4/21.02.2018 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State, who opposes the prayer for bail.
The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 324, 326, 307, 302, 354/34 of the Indian Penal Code, in connection with Kharsawan P.S. Case No. 19/2012 (G.R. No. 220/2012, S.T. No. 137/2012), pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge-III, Seraikella.
There is direct allegation against this petitioner that he stabbed the deceased on his stomach as a result of which he died.
Keeping in view the direct allegation against this petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
In view of the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 09.04.2012, I direct the trial court to take all possible steps so that the trial be concluded within six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
