Petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing the offence punishable under Sections 304B, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, in connection with Hussainabad Police Station Case No.146 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. No.1743 of 2017, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Daltonganj, Palamau.
Petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aged about 89 years. He submits that he has got no hand in the said occurrence.
Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that the death occurred within 5 (five) years of marriage. There is allegation of demand of dowry and the death is because of the anti-mortem injuries caused by heavy blunt weapons, which is apparent from the postmortem report itself.
In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, namely, Pravesh @ Pravesh Paswan, in connection with Hussainabad Police Station Case No.146 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. No.1743 of 2017, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Daltonganj, Palamau, is hereby rejected.
This application stands dismissed.
