Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing the offence punishable under Sections 272/273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 47(a)(c) of the Excise Act, in connection with Gamharia Police Station Case No.41 of 2018 corresponding to G.R. No.635 of 2018, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Seraikella.
400 litres of Mahua liquor was recovered from the possession of this petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 22.10.2018 and chargesheet has already been submitted.
In view of the aforesaid facts, petitioner, namely, Shankar Mandal, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Seraikella in connection with Gamharia Police Station Case No.41 of 2018 corresponding to G.R. No.635 of 2018.
