Heard Mr. N Barua, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D Nath, learned counsel for the respondents/contemnors.
“5. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed with a direction the respondent No. 2 i.e; the Director of Social Welfare Department, Government of Assam to consider the petitioner for regularization of his services keeping in mind the long services rendered by him and such consideration should be done within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. The Director of Social Welfare Department shall however be at liberty to verify the services of the petitioner to see that it conforms to the requirement of an employee to be considered for regularization as per the norms and guidelines followed by the State Government.”
