The letter No. FPC.38/2012/78 dated 08.10.2018 issued by the Under Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Finance (Pay Research Unit) Department, states that a proposal for upgradation of the Pay Scale of the petitioners had been received from Home (B) Department in file No. HMB.445/2017. Finance Department, after examination of the matter has already concurred to the upgradation of Pay Scale of the petitioners, both Agriculture Demonstrators under Home (B) Department to Pay Band-2, 5,200-20,200+GP Rs. 3300 with effect from 01.01.2006, with the stipulation that the pay would be terminal pay and as and when the posts fall vacant, the same would be filled up from Agriculture Department, as per the order dated 12.09.2017 passed in WP(C) No. 5846/2012. Home (B) Department had been requested to take necessary action accordingly.
In view of the above, this Court finds that the respondent, who is the Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Finance Department has complied with the order dated 12.09.2017 passed in WP(C) No. 5846/2012.
Contempt petition is accordingly closed.
