Heard Mr. A.K. Purkayastha, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that the petitioner took part in the selection process for appointment to the post of Gaon Pradhan under Goroimari Revenue Circle in pursuant to an advertisement No. KRM-81/2020/108/193-200 dated 01.12.2021. The petitioner is aggrieved by the appointment of the respondent No. 7 and the fact that the appeal filed by the petitioner before the Commissioner, Lower Assam Division on 01.06.2022 has not been numbered and registered till date.
2. Mr. J. Handique, learned counsel appears for the Revenue Department, A. Matin, learned counsel appears for the respondent No. 7 and Mr. D. Borah, learned counsel appears for the respondent Nos. 2 to 6. They submit that the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction being issued to the Commissioner, Lower Assam Division to register and number the appeal filed by

3. In view of the consent of the parties, the respondent No. 2 is directed to register and number the appeal filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law.
