The challenge in this Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is to the order of the Ward formation dated 4th May, 2013 for the purposes of General Ward Election of the Sangli, Miraj and Kupwad Municipal Corporation. Admittedly, the General Ward Election is already over. Therefore, no purpose will be served by entertaining this Writ Petition now as the issues raised may be academic as of today. However, the issues raised by the Petitioners will have to be
kept open which can be raised by them at appropriate state. Subject to
what is observed above, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
