The appeal has been filed u/s 12 of the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act, 1976 challenging the order bearing no. F.no. CA/DL/264/2007-08/Vol-II/1911 dated 17th March, 2016 passed by the Competent Authority, SAFEM (FOP) Act, 1976 & NDPS Act, 1985. Alongwith the appeal the appellant has filed an application for condonation of delay. In the application it is stated that the appellant came to know of the impugned order in November, 2016. There are earlier orders and records which disclose that the wife of the appellant was ware about the pending proceedings.
