The Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner declaring the action of the respondent in purporting to reject the candidature of the petitioner for the purpose of counseling for Post Graduate Medical Degree courses for the academic year 2017-2018.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

Since there is no interim order in the present case and the relief sought by the petitioner for the academic year 2017-2018, this Court feels that the cause in the writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
