Heard Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri Alok Srivastava, the learned Standing Counsel for the State and Shri Sharad Kumar Shukla, the learned counsel for the respondent No.2- Indian Bank.

By means of the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought issuance of a direction to the opposite party No.2- bank to provide him some time to repay the amount of loan. The bank has issued a NPA notice to the petitioner on 01.12.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is willing to repay the amount of loan but he is unable to do so in one lump sum because of financial constraints.

Although the learned counsel for the respondent No.2 has opposed the petition, he has submitted that in case the petitioner repays the amount of loan, the bank will have no objection.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed off by providing that in case the petitioner deposits a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- within a period of four weeks from today, the bank will issue a revised payment schedule to enable the petitioner to repay the balance amount in four equal quarterly installments.
