Heard Mr. Devendra Kumar, learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A. representing the State and perused the record.

The instant application has been preferred by the applicant with a prayer for expeditious disposal of Case No. 6727 of 2016 (State Vs. Abhishek Tomar) arising out of Case Crime No. 017 of 2015, under Sections 420, 406 & 506 of I.P.C., Police Station Lal Kurti, District Meerut, pending in the court of learned Civil Judge (J.D.)/F.T.C., District Mau within stipulated time.

Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that charges were framed against the accused persons on 16.05.2017 and till date, only two prosecution witnesses i.e. P.W. 1 & P.W. 2 were recorded. The proceedings are held up since long, thereby learned counsel for the applicant prayed to direct the learned trial court to expedite the proceedings of the aforesaid case.

Learned A.G.A. has no objection to the innocuous prayer of the applicant.

In view of the above, it is directed that the learned trial court concerned shall make all endeavour to decide the aforesaid case expeditiously, preferably withing a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, if there is no legal impediment.

With the aforesaid direction, this application is disposed of.
