Heard learned counsel for petitioner, Mr. Rishabh Tripathi learned counsel for opposite party No.1 and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite party No.2.

Petition has been filed seeking a direction to opposite parties to consider petitioner's application for compassionate appointment in place of petitioner's father, late Jagdish Kumar, who passed away while in harness on 21st October, 2021.

It has been submitted that petitioner submitted an application bearing I.D. No. 4376 for compassionate appointment which now is being indicated on the portal of opposite parties as having been rejected without any order being supplied to petitioner.

Learned counsel for opposite party No.1 on the basis of instructions submits that due to difficulties on the portal, the application status is merely required to be shown as rejected without any column for indicating reasons for such rejection.

Considering the aforesaid submission of learned counsel for opposite party No.1, opposite party No.1 i.e. Basic Shiksha Adhikari, District Sitapur is hereby directed to consider and decide petitioner's application for compassionate appointment by reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the concerned authority and to communicate the same to him.

Further direction is issued to opposite party No.2 i.e. Principal Secretary (Basic Education Department), Government of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow to revise the condition of portal in order to enable a column for reasons to be recorded on decision taken on such applications.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition stands disposed of.
