Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Petitioners, two in number, by the instant writ petition are seeking a direction to consider their case for promotion from the post of Dresser to the post of Veterinary Pharmacist under the provisions of Government Order dated 14.12.2004.

It is submitted that petitioners are eligible and fulfill the conditions for promotion.

¶6

Learned Standing Counsel submits that the fourth respondent, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry, Kanpur Mandal, Kanpur shall pass appropriate order, in accordance with law.

In view thereof, on consent, the petition is disposed of directing the fourth respondent, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry, Kanpur Mandal, Kanpur to consider and decide the representation of the petitioners by reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of certified copy of this order alongwith copy of the writ petition.

It is clarified that the Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
