Heard learned counsel for the petitioner who has filed supplementary affidavit today in court which is taken on record, and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to respondents to decide application/representation dated 17.12.2021 within stipulated time, with a further direction to respondents to promote the petitioner from 9.10.2018 from the post of Head Constable to the post of Sub Inspector, the date from which the batchmates of the petitioner were promoted.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at some length, submits that his pending representation before respondent No.2 may be directed to be decided, to which learned Standing Counsel has no objection.
In view of the above, without entering into merit of the case, the petition is finally disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to move a fresh representation to respondent No.2 within two weeks from today. In case such a representation is submitted within the aforesaid stipulated time, respondent No.2 shall consider and decide it in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned and speaking order expeditiously and preferably within the next four weeks.
